A useful image, a paragraph you want to keep and a screenshot for a teammate can arrive within minutes of each other. Saving them usually means downloading, copying, naming and then uploading everything into the right folder.
Save to dosya brings that workflow into your browser. Our browser extension saves images, selected text and visible screenshots straight into your dosya.dev folders. Pick a destination once, then save from the page you are reading.
Visit the browser extension page to choose your browser and see its current installation options.
Three ways to save from a web page
The extension adds three options to your right-click menu. Each produces a file you can organise and open in dosya.dev.
Save an image
Right-click an image and choose Save image to dosya. The extension uploads it to your selected folder, ready to sit alongside the rest of a project.
This is useful when collecting visual references, product images or material for a mood board. Everything can go into the project folder as you find it, instead of accumulating in your Downloads folder for later sorting.
Save selected text
Highlight a passage, right-click and choose Save selection to dosya. Your selection becomes a text file in your workspace.
Use it for research notes, instructions you need to revisit or a short extract you want to discuss with a colleague. For research, keep the source URL in your notes too, so you can return to the original context later.
Save a visible screenshot
Choose Save screenshot to dosya to capture the part of the page currently on screen. It is useful for recording a layout, reporting a visual issue or showing a teammate exactly what you are looking at.
This captures the visible area. If you need a section farther down the page, scroll to it before saving.
Choose a folder once
After signing in, select a default folder for your captures. A researcher might choose a References folder; a designer might use the current project’s Inspiration folder.
You can change the destination in the popup when you move to another task. The folder you choose determines where the next capture lands, so you can organise while browsing.
The popup also shows your ten most recent saves. You can copy a share link from there when you want to pass something on. For material that needs tighter access, review the controls on the share link before distributing it.
Browser support and access across your devices
Save to dosya has builds for Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, covering supported desktop browsers on Windows, macOS and Linux. Safari’s build is for macOS.
The extension is available for all four browsers. The browser extension page brings the installation links and instructions together, so you can choose Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari and follow the correct install route.
Your saved content is available across desktop, mobile and web once it finishes uploading. It lives in your dosya.dev workspace, so you can collect material in a desktop browser and open it later in the mobile app. Use the same account and workspace on each device.
Uploads keep going while you work
A capture does not require you to keep the popup open. Uploads continue after you close the popup or the source tab, and queued saves can resume after a browser restart.
The extension accepts captures up to 50 MB each. That is a capture limit for this browser tool; your saved files also count towards your account’s storage allowance.
The extension acts when you ask it to save. It does not request browsing history access, and it includes no third-party analytics. Its installation pages explain the permissions used for capturing and uploading content.
